Buttwhack Drives Car into Planned Parenthood

St. Paul, Minn. — A 32-year-old driver is under arrest after driving his SUV into the front of the Planned Parenthood clinic on Ford Parkway in St. Paul this morning.

Police spokesman Peter Panos says officers were called to the scene and found the driver waiting outside the vehicle, chanting or praying. He was taken into custody, and his vehicle was towed to the city impound lot as police investigated.

Today is the 36th anniversary of the the Supreme Court decision that legalized elective abortions. It isn’t clear if the crash was related to the anniversary. Abortion opponents are holding a large rally at the State Capitol later today.

Panos said the incident was under investigation and police were still looking into the driver, trying to confirm his identity. Panos said there had been no other recent trouble at the clinic, one of only a handful in Minnesota that provides abortions.

No one was reported injured in the incident, and the building shows no visible signs of significant damage.
